I live in Grayshott, right on the county boundary, so most of Hampshire is under an hour from my front door. Winchester, Petersfield, Southampton, Portsmouth and the New Forest are all regular ground. That matters less for the scenery than for the practical bit. Get to Know Paul, Your Hampshire Based Wedding Videographer!
I came to film from stills, after years of photographing weddings. That is still the most useful training I had, because it teaches you where to stand and when to stop moving. Packages start at £1,547 and every one covers the full day rather than a set number of hours, so nobody is watching a clock while your speeches overrun.
A wedding day is a great deal more than the ceremony. It is the hour beforehand while nobody can find the buttonholes, the speeches, the first dance and the point late on when somebody’s uncle discovers the dance floor. I film all of it and cut it in the order it happened, because that is the order you remember it in.
Wedding Videography Services
Through the ceremony and the speeches I run up to five cameras, because those are the parts of the day with only one take in them. Every speech gets its own microphone so you can hear the jokes back rather than guess at them. A teaser film reaches you within seven days, usually sooner.
Films are edited chronologically and colour graded so they still look right in twenty years rather than dated by whatever happens to be fashionable now. Everything is delivered digitally. Frequently Asked Questions
Are you limited by location?
I’m based in Grayshott, right on the Hampshire and Surrey border, so most of Hampshire is a short drive. I will go further when the day is worth it. I enjoy being able to explore new locations and love to do destination weddings. I am well-known for my videography throughout London, Kent, Essex and other areas of the UK.
Do you have a limit on hours?
There is no hour limit. I usually get there about two hours before the ceremony, probably earlier because I hate being late and I stay until after the first dance and a couple of songs beyond it. If the night is still going and you want me there, say so and I will stay.
What parts of the day do you record?
I record the preparation, the ceremony, the speeches, the first dance and any other event you would like.
How long will it take to get my films?
I maintain a fairly tight schedule and limit the number of weddings I accept. A flexible schedule allows me to devote the time I need to my existing clients. A teaser within seven days and usually within twenty four hours if I have not got a wedding the next day. The full films take longer, up to ninety days in the busy months, because I will not rush anybody’s films. At the moment I am delivering in about four weeks. If you need them for a particular date, tell me early and I will work to it.
Do you coordinate with the wedding photographer?
Yes! I will work with your photographer so that we both have the positioning we need to provide you with quality photographs and videos.

These are the Hampshire venues I know properly. Each has its own page with capacities, what the light does and what I would plan around.
The Tithe Barn above Petersfield has the South Downs running away behind it and a built-in sound system that makes speeches record cleanly. Bethany and Daniel were married there.
Norton Park near Sutton Scotney gives you a 17th century barn and a manor house in one place and it scales to 300 in the evening.
Sandford Springs near Tadley is a golf course as much as a venue, so you get open views and long sightlines that hotel venues cannot offer.
Elmers Court at Lymington is where I filmed Erin and James.
The Royal Southern Yacht Club sits on the bank of the river Hamble, on a cobbled street, with the water right there.
The Spinnaker Tower puts you high above Portsmouth Harbour with glass on every side. Beautiful and the hardest light I work in.
Cain Manor is just over the Surrey border near Bordon and it is the closest venue to home for me.
Elmers Court in Lymington, now trading as THE NICI New Forest, sits in 23 acres above the Solent. Outdoor ceremonies on the Queen Mary Lawn and a view across to the Isle of Wight. Erin and James were married there.
New Place Hotel at Shirrell Heath gives you four genuinely different spaces in 32 acres, from the Jacobean panelling of the Bristol Room to the Arden Suite out in the woodland. Shannon and Ash were married there.

Chilworth Manor at Southampton is a country house hotel with ninety five bedrooms, four licensed suites and two hundred in the evening, so the whole day happens in one place. Rachel and Thomas were married there.
Rivervale Barn at Yateley is exclusive use, a hundred and fifty seated and two hundred in the evening, with an outdoor ceremony space in the trees. Alicia and Josh were married there.
Southsea Castle is a Tudor fort on the Solent, with the ramparts ninety seconds from the marquee. Abi and Dan were married there.
The Alverbank at Gosport does outdoor ceremonies on the lawn with the Isle of Wight behind them. Katie and Iain were married there.
The Square Tower at Old Portsmouth was built in 1494 and sits on the harbour wall. Paige and Lee were married there.
Chewton Glen at New Milton sits in a hundred and thirty acres between the New Forest and the sea, with four ceremony options and fourteen treehouses in the woodland. Natasha and Mark were married there.
