Getting Married In West Sussex?
A wedding film keeps the sound of your day, which is the part a photograph cannot hold. My name is Paul Burton and I run Burton Media from Grayshott, right on the Hampshire border, so Chichester, Worthing, Horsham and the downland in between are all regular ground. Selecting the ideal wedding videographer is no small feat. Filming weddings since 2015 and across West Sussex for most of that, I cut every wedding differently, because no two days run the same way.
Film catches what you were too busy to notice. Somebody’s face during the vows. The pause before the best man gets his laugh. I use a drone when the venue is worth seeing from above and I will say so if yours is not.
West Sussex and Its Many Faces
West Sussex is where I end up when a couple wants space around them. Downland, barns and one very large house. The county gives me the widest range of days of anywhere I work.
The county is wide open in places and tucked away in others, which is why the days here look so different from one another. I use a drone when the venue is worth seeing from above and I will tell you honestly if yours is not.

Get to Know Paul, Your West Sussex Wedding Videographer
I came to film after years of photographing weddings, which taught me where to put myself and when to stay still. The second half of that is the more useful one. Packages start at £1,547 and every one covers the full day rather than a set number of hours.
Barns are honest about their acoustics, which is to say they are difficult. Long Furlong and Grittenham both reward getting microphones into the right places early rather than hoping for the best. Goodwood has the opposite problem, a great deal of space and light that shifts through the afternoon.
Wedding Videography Services
Up to five cameras run through the ceremony and the speeches, because those are the parts with only one take in them. Every speech gets its own audio feed. You will have a teaser film within seven days and the full set afterwards, delivered digitally.
Everything is cut in the order the day happened. No jumping about for effect and no trailer-style opening on a sunset you did not have. If you want the ceremony and each speech as their own films alongside the highlights, that is covered by the Cinematic Plus package.

West Sussex gives you downland, barns and one very large house. A barn asks for microphones in the right places early. A house asks you to keep track of the light as it moves through the afternoon. Both are worth doing and neither is the same job.

The film is what you play when you want the room back, including the timing, the noise and the bits nobody thought to point a camera at. Goodwood House
Goodwood House is one of West Sussex’s most iconic stately homes. The Ballroom is the room everybody photographs. It is the downland beyond it that makes the film. Goodwood House also provides an impressive range of catering options, from afternoon tea to three-course meals.

Southdowns Manor
The Southdowns Manor is a Grade II listed Georgian manor house set within 160 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland. This venue offers couples a unique backdrop for their nuptials and boasts two stunning ceremony rooms with plenty of space for up to 180 guests.

Southend Barns
Southend Barns is a rustic barn wedding venue located on a working farm in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The reception area can accommodate up to 140 guests and there’s even accommodation onsite for those who want to make a weekend out of it!

Long Furlong Barn
Long Furlong Barn is another rustic country wedding barn set within the stunning Sussex countryside and surrounded by rolling hills and ancient woodland areas, perfect for couples looking for an outdoor ceremony or just some fantastic photo opportunities! The venue can cater weddings up to 150 guests and even has its own bar area included in the price tag!

Tournerbury Woods sits on a hillside above Chichester Harbour. With stunning views over Chichester Marina and Hayling Island, this secluded estate offers couples both indoor and outdoor options for their special day as well as accommodation nearby if needed!

West Sussex wedding venues I film at
West Sussex is a smaller list for me than Surrey or Hampshire but these are the ones I know well.
Long Furlong Barn outside Worthing is a 16th century barn with big windows down one side, so on most days I can film the ceremony without bringing much lighting in. Danni and Chris were married there.
Grittenham Barn near Tillington takes one wedding a weekend. Nobody is clearing up behind you and nobody is setting up around you and it shows on the film.
Goodwood House near Chichester is a proper stately home with downland and long views towards the South Downs for the couple portraits.
Highley Manor at Balcombe near Haywards Heath goes out on exclusive use, so there is no second wedding in the building. Three licensed rooms, a grand staircase with stained glass and eighteen bedrooms in the manor. Annabel and Jack were married there.
I also cover Surrey and Hampshire and I travel further when it is worth it.
Brookfield Barn south of Horsham is exclusive use on a lake, a hundred and thirty eight seated and two hundred in the evening. I have filmed there twice, for Ashleigh and Joe and for Rosie and Alex.
Cissbury Barns at Findon sits under Cissbury Ring, with the East Barn licensed indoors and the Glade for ceremonies outside. Elaine and Daniel were married there.
