Summary

The Old Kent Barn is near Dover, which makes it one of the longer drives in my diary, and I have never once minded. It is an all inclusive venue set in two and a half acres of landscaped gardens, licensed for civil ceremonies both indoors and out.

That indoor and outdoor licence is worth more than it sounds in this country. It means you can decide late, on the actual morning, whether you are marrying under a roof or under the sky. Both work well here from my side, so I will arrive prepared for either and you can make the call when you see the weather.

150 for the ceremony and up to 250 in the evening, so it takes a proper sized wedding without ever feeling like a conference centre.

There is a spacious bridal suite on site, which means the morning preparations happen where the wedding happens. No convoy, no missed light, no forty minute hole in the film while everybody travels.

Introduction

No posing, no forced smiles, no interruptions. I film what happens and I stay out of the way while I do it. If your photographer sets something up I will use it, but your day does not stop for me.

The Setting

Two and a half acres of gardens gives us somewhere to go after the ceremony that is away from your guests without being a hike. Twenty minutes is usually all I need.

Kent is a long way from Grayshott and I travel gladly. If you are marrying here, distance is genuinely not a factor for me.
