The Tithe Barn Wedding, Hampshire
Bethany and Daniel’s Wedding at The Tithe Barn, Hampshire
I always love to film weddings at The Tithe Barn, Petersfield, Hampshire and could not wait to capture Bethany and Daniel’s wedding here. This is a stunning venue nestled in the countryside just outside of Petersfield.
Getting ready
I started at getting ready in the Tithe Barn getting ready suite with Bethany. Everyone was already in there and it was a calm room, which is not always the case. The hair and makeup were done by then, which always makes the morning easier to film.
Capturing emotions
Bethany wore a classic white sparkly open back dress and Daniel wore a navy blue suit along with his groomsmen and they looked really amazing. The bridesmaids all wore taupe coloured dresses and looked incredible. Of course dad, Colin, shed a few tears of emotion upon first seeing Bethany in her dress.
The ceremony
The wedding took place in the Tithe Barn and it was a beautiful ceremony. They had a harpist playing songs, which everyone enjoyed. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, were showered in confetti and then we went and did some family portraits.
After the ceremony
It was a windy day, which wasn’t in the plan but the couple didn’t mind. While the guests enjoyed drinks, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite clips from the couples session was in a neighbouring garden, which the photographer Kurt, asked if we could use because of how stunning and well kept the garden was. Check it out below!

The evening
During the reception they had a little surprise organised by the couples mums, The Best Singing Waiters, which went down an absolute storm and got everyone out of their chairs. For the wedding breakfast they had some of the best wedding food I have had provided by Tourelle Cuisine and it was absolutely delicious.
Afterwards, there were a few speeches and then the party got started.
They also had sparklers, which was a huge hit although lighting them did prove a little difficult.
Top tip for planning a wedding
The singing waiters really got everyone up and I think they are a great addition to a wedding day.

If The Tithe Barn is on your list, these are the others I get asked about most in the same part of Hampshire. Cain Manor is the one for a walled garden and a courtyard. Norton Park has the space and the grounds if your numbers are bigger. The Spinnaker Tower is the opposite end of the scale, all glass and harbour views. Grittenham Barn is worth a look if it is the barn feel you are after rather than Petersfield itself.

The Tithe Barn page has capacities, the South Downs view behind the barn and why the built-in sound system matters for your speeches. I cover Hampshire more widely.
