Elmers Court Wedding, Hampshire
Erin and Jame’s Wedding at Elmers Court, Lymington
As a Hampshire wedding videographer, I love filming at Elmers Court Resort and Spa. When Aaron, Erin and James’s wedding photographer first got in touch with me about filming their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a beautiful traditional wedding with an outdoor ceremony and a lovely meal with friends and family for the reception. Erin and James are the most fun people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Bridal preparation
I started at one of the bridal rooms at the hotel, where the bride and her friends were getting ready together and it was really exciting, because everyone was in a good mood. Erin wore a classic white dress with a lovely long vail. Here are a few screen grabs from the film.
I also went across to where James was getting ready with his groomsmen. James wore a three-piece suit along with his groomsmen and they all looked really great. There were all in a really good mood and there was a real excitement amongst them.
The ceremony
The wedding took place at Elmers Court Resort and Spa, and was a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on the Queen Mary lawn. They had a lovely sunny day, which was just magical. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then they were showered with confetti.
Set within 23 acres of beautiful grounds, the 19th century Manor House has retained all of its original character and which overlook magnificent views of the Solent.
After the ceremony
The wedding reception took place Elmers Court Resort and Spa in the ‘Grand’ Ballroom, which they’d decorated with tall Sowers and personalised items, it was so gorgeous.
It was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. I used a drone to capture some footage of the venue whilst Erin and James had some time together. Check it out below!
During the reception they had a lovely meal with friends and family, which everyone loved. For the wedding breakfast roast beef, and it looked absolutely delicious. Afterwards, there were a few speeches and the guests made the most of the photobooth. They also had a DJ, which kept everyone entertained.
Top tip for planning a wedding
Use the couples portrait time to enjoy each other and absorb the day. On your wedding day time seems to fly and if you are not careful you will be at the end of the night having not really spent much time alone together.
