Filming at Loseley Park
Loseley Park is an Elizabethan manor house outside Guildford that has been in the same family since it was built, and it still feels like a house rather than a venue. The Great Hall holds a hundred and two for a ceremony, and the panelling and the mullioned windows do more for a film than any amount of styling would.
The seventeenth century barn on the estate is the other option and it takes a hundred and forty, or up to two hundred and eighty with a marquee attached. It is the bigger, looser space and it is where the evening belongs. Old timber gives me warmth in the frame that a modern room simply cannot.
The walled garden is where I would spend ten minutes with you. It is enclosed, so the light is even and the noise drops away, and it gives the middle of the film somewhere quiet to breathe. The White Garden does the same job in a different key if you would rather have something paler behind you.
Chestnut Lodge is the bridal dressing room and it takes the couple overnight, so the morning starts on the estate. Loseley is about ten minutes from Guildford, which keeps the guest logistics simple, and I film across Surrey constantly so it is home ground for me.

Alexandra and William at Loseley Park
Alexandra and William got married at Loseley Park and I filmed the whole day. If you would rather see what a wedding here actually looks like than read about it, their highlight film is below.
How I work on the day
No posing, no forced smiles, no interruptions. I film what happens and I keep out of the way while I do it. If your photographer sets something up I will use it, but I am not going to stop your day for the sake of a shot.
