Communicating consistently during the Covid-19 pandemic
We all know how important it is at the moment to stay safe, remain at home and save lives! At the same time, it is also very important to keep people informed about what your business is doing to get through this pandemic!
Are you wondering how you can send clear and consistent messages to clients, staff or members of the public or stakeholders?
During normal times this is less of a challenge and there are many ways and media to be able to do this. However, during this pandemic and with restrictions in place it is more important than ever to be able to reassure people and send clear messages.
This is where I can help you with key safety messages. By producing video messages that can be shared via multiple platforms you can ensure messages are clear and concise whilst passing critical information in an empathetic way.
In line with the government guidance, this type of work can not be solely completed by working from home. "Work (but only if you cannot work from home)". Although all pre meetings and communications can be completed via video conferences and email we would need to meet to record your footage.
"If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at all times". This can be easily achieved and is being utilised by all of the current news providers.
Apart from social distancing, all aspects of the filming will be completed inline with Government, Public Health England and World Health Organisation guidance. This would include all equipment being sanitised prior to use and after each job. This ensures that no cross contamination takes place.
If anyone taking part in the filming is showing any signs of Covid-19 (temperature over 37.8 or a new continuous cough) then the filming can not take place. The filming would be postponed for a minimum of 14 days and only re-scheduled if no symptoms still exist.
For interviews these can safely be carried out as long as the 2m distance was maintained. Ideally this would be outside in fresh air or in a large well ventilated room. This will be risk assessed and discussed as part of the booking procedure and if it is felt unnecessary risks would need to be taken during filming, then it would not continue.
Clearly any films would need to be delivered in a timely manner in order to get the key messages out. This would be discussed as part of the booking procedure but I could deliver edited films within 24 hours if required.
Although there is no requirement or guidance to wear PPE, I do have access to face masks and sterile gloves. These will be worn if requested or I feel it would be more appropriate. There should however be no requirement for these. All equipment will be throughly cleaned using anti bacterial wipes and solution to ensure the risk of the virus being on equipment surfaces is minimised or eliminated.
This is difficult!!! If I consider the request a charitable cause and for the general public or promote safety then I may not charge. If this is for a corporate message to staff or customers then I may charge a reduced rate. We can discuss this as part of the online consultation.
